Composer's Statement:

The music I write is modern listenable tonal melodic classical music in which traditional harmonies, often polytonal ones, are employed. It gains its momentum from the use of intricate and ever-changing rhythms.

Some pieces are high-energy ones. Others are slow and meditative.

Melodies make use of uncommon scales, as well as irregular phrase lengths.

Pieces are frequently based on a single idea that regenerates and evolves into other melodic, harmonic and rhythmic forms.

Much of the music, being dance inspired, is appropriate for choreography.

Many of my compositions are fantasies. They are elaborate musical dreamscapes, whose scenery constantly transforms itself.

Creation of New Works:

Solo and ensemble musical compositions can be created to suit most needs and instrumentation as long as there is both a guarantee of performance of the piece, as well as that of a well-recorded tape of the composition supplied to the composer.

Although my older music is notated beautifully by hand, my current and future compositions are being written with professional notation software, resulting in computer generated published quality copies of scores and parts.
